Dr. Susan Latimer
A native Houstonian, Dr. Susan Latimer graduated in 1996 from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. After a general practice residency at Hermann Hospital, she went on to teach at The University of Texas while practicing as an associate in Clear Lake. Dr. Latimer dedicated herself to full-time private practice in 2000 and established Latimer Dental Arts. She and her team regularly attend classes and participate in rigorous study clubs to advance their knowledge of dental and oral-systemic health. In 2020, Dr. Latimer became a Master and certified expert in Digital Smile Design, a facially-driven, fully digital treatment planning system. She is a member of the Spear Faculty Club, American Academy for Oral Systemic Health, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Physiological Medicine & Dentistry, Slow Dentistry Global Network, Texas Dental Association, and Greater Houston Dental Society. Since 2013, Latimer Dental Arts has been part of Smile Source’s network of premier, private dental practices and was honored with Smile Source’s Practice Excellence Award in 2019. Dr. Latimer is an accomplished pianist and violist. She loves performing music, yoga, playing outdoors, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Shannon Logan
For more than twenty years, Shannon has practiced as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She brings to our practice a genuine love for her patients and exceptional technical skill. Patients often tell us Shannon is the best hygienist they’ve ever encountered! She is caring, thorough, and passionate about helping others achieve a healthy mouth and beautiful smile. She graduated from Wharton County Junior College in 1991 and stays current through ongoing research and education. She is a member of Spear Hygiene Study Club and the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. She is happily married with two kids and is an active member of her community in Angleton, Texas. She enjoys fishing, kayaking, and being outdoors.
Emily Schulz
Emily started her dental career in 2005 and loves helping patients achieve better health and confident smiles. As our Patient Care Coordinator, she communicates with Dr. Latimer and specialists to customize treatment for each individual’s needs. She is a member of the American Association of Dental Office Management and Spear Study Club. Emily grew up in Texas and New York before attending The University of Texas at Austin as an English major. As an avid singer, she performs in the Houston Masterworks Chorus and Grace Presbyterian Chancel Choir. She also serves as a Deacon at Grace and leads her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop. She enjoys yoga, knitting, birding, and keeping fish.
Toni Leanard
Toni has been in the dental field for over 35 years as a Registered Dental Assistant. Originally from Tyler, she has been in the Houston area for over 20 years and now resides in Galveston. Toni is passionate about getting to know all of our patients and making sure they receive quality care and attention. She has given back to the community through volunteering with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for over 10 years. About 8 years ago, she followed her dream to start her own company, Toni’s Treasures, designing unique, hand-crafted jewelry. You can see her designs online or visit her gallery in Galveston. She is adventurous and enjoys sky diving, motorcycling riding, scuba diving, and spending time with her two fur babies at home.
